We call this Merino Comeback because a Merino flock was bred with other breeds to achieve the lovely natural brown shade, then re-bred with Merino again to get a finer wool. So the Merino “came back” into this line. In fact, the Spanish growers of this wool are the descendants of some of the original owners of Merino sheep!
