One of our long time standard types. The name evolved after the U.K. and Argentina had a little spat over who owned this remote island ‘nation’ off the coast of Argentina back when Maggie Thatcher was the British Prime Minister. Our long-time British wool supplier had represented the Falkland Company and took delight in our story. In the 1990s we started sourcing it domestically. The current lot is sourced and processed just across the strait from the Falkland Islands, so it’ll look a little different if you’ve been ordering it for a while.
