We call this our Heinz 57 Variety. A standard type that always went into medium knitting yarns. Wool is collected from the small farms in the Fleece States, which includes all the states east of the Mississippi and any state west of it that isn’t split by the Continental Divide. The soil generally makes it difficult to get the whitest fiber. Add a preponderance of black face meat sheep and here we are.
