“Black” wool in an industrial setting is any wool that isn’t white – browns, greys, etc. Carding result is 27D Dark Taupe Domestic Wool Sliver

Please note that scoured wool will require processing before use, as the fiber still contains some VM and dust. We do not recommend purchasing a large quantity if you are not experienced with processing fiber. That said, this is our cleanest lot of domestic fleece yet.
