January is the start of the year and it is also the month when R.H. Lindsay Company got its legal start in 1936. So here we are 82 years later and our business has changed more than anyone might have imagined back in the first half of the last century. We can only imagine what might happen in the next 18 years as we strive to reach 100!

Quite a change from 1936 when our founder Ralph Lindsay landed the buying account for Barre Wool Combing Company. Of course that only lasted until 1954 and there have been a few twists and turns since then. The one thing that hasn’t changed is our dedication to wool and the people who use it. We love hearing stories about what our wool becomes and how. Just when you think you’ve heard it all someone else reaches out with another product idea they want to make with wool.
